Beach Bound

Since we are beach bound this week I thought it would be fun to show you the kids first beach trips. Madison was 9 months old when we took her for the first time. She loved it from the minute we arrived. She was crawling and would constantly crawl towards the water. We would go get her, bring her back up on the sand, and she would turn around and start crawling again. She was trying really hard to take her first steps at the beach but it wasn't for a few weeks later that she started to walk. Enjoy!

Aidan's first trip to the beach last summer. He was 7 months old and had just started sitting up and crawling. He is such a happy baby as you can tell by the picture below. However, as the trip went on he got sick and had his first double ear infection. He wasn't as crazy about the water as Madison was at this age. I am excited to see how he likes it this year.

Vacation Bible School

First Black Eye

Some nights Aidan has to go to sleep with his football. He has to have Froggy, Silky, Elmo, and Cookie Monster everynight. All he thinks about is playing some kind of ball.Aidan after bath the night he hit his eye on the smooth part of the toy box.

His first black eye
Madison loving on her little brother.

Yes it looked really bad. The picture doesn't do justice for the amount of swelling. He had an xray and everything is fine. He had to take meds because it was infected. ~He is all boy~

Madison sings...
Aidan claps and dances.

Just one of the many things he does to bother Madison. Here he is sitting in her doll bed smiling and waiting for her to catch him.

~~~~~I came across this picture tonight and wanted to share it. It was taken August 2008 on Madison's 5th birthday. We had gone to her friend Maddie's grave because she wanted to take her birthday balloons to Maddie. It was such a hard moment and her face says it all. I am so proud of Madison for the way she has handled losing a friend. As we come upon the one year mark I can say that Maddie is still talked about daily in our home and that Madison has a different view of heaven and Jesus than most little girls this age because of Maddie. I just can't help but look at that sweet face and wonder what must be going through her mind at that moment. So sweet and innocent but filled with so many emotions and questions. To me this picture is precious and tells so much~~~~~
