Sitting in my Bumbo Seat

I changed my mind, sitting up is fun...

Sister/Brother

Madison and Aidan just adore each other. It is fun watching Madison play with him and him watching her every move. He smiles so big when he sees Madison's face or hears her voice. It is so sweet to watch them together.

Fun Times

Aidan 2 1/2 months

Aidan still loves bath time

Aidan in his swing watching Baby Einstein
He loves when someone talks to him

Papa's Girl

Madison loves to go farming with Papa and Uncle Kenton. She talked them into letting her ride a horse by herself. She was so excited.
Riding the four-wheeler (aka Bessy) with Papa on the farm.

Katie came to visit last Friday. She is the best baby sitter in the world. Our family loves her so much. Thank goodness she will be going to UT in the fall and not moving very far....

Quilt

Aidan with his great grandmother (Nannie). She makes all the children a quilt when they are born. Here is a picture of Aidan's quilt. It is beautiful and we are so grateful to Nannie for making it for him.

Nannie put Aidan's name and handprint on the corner of his quilt.

Happy Valentine's Day

Alli

Alli
1-9-99 to 2-22-08 Our sweet Alli passed away this week. She was nine years old.
Jason got her as a gift when he graduated from UT. She was a
precious dog with the best personality. She will really be missed in our family.
Below are some of my favorite pictures of her and Madison.

She even played dress up with Madison.

Our friends came to play

Madison, Aidan, Hudson, and Abi KateMommy's best friend "Aunt Heather" and her family came to visit today. Hudson and Abi Kate are 2 1/2 year old twins. Madison and Abi Kate played dress up and trains. Hudson pulled out all Aidan's toys looking for the perfect truck. I think Hudson will be glad when Aidan is a little older so he has someone to even things up. We grilled out and had a fun day with them. I just wish we were able to see them more often. Heather and I have been best friends since we were five years old so it is fun watching our kids play together. Where does the time go?

Our sweet babies...

Girl Time

Madison and I spent the afternoon playing dress up and making chocolate covered strawberries. She wanted me to let her put my make-up on. So I did and then we painted nails. Look at these yummy strawberries. I got them at the
Fresh Market and they taste like they came from the garden. Very Yummy!
Fun with Mommy

Little Man Aidan

Aidan Michael
9 weeks
Aidan was dressed like a little man today. We went to a babies
only birthday party that was really fun. Aidan ended up sleeping the
entire time in the snuggly. He was the only baby there under the age of one.

What a sweet little boy

Happy 1st Birthday to our friend Andrew

Aidan, Madison, Christopher, and Andrew (the birthday boy). Happy Birthday to my little friend Andrew...
Look at the difference 10 months makes.

Here is a picture from 1982 of me and my brother. I am 3 1/2 and he is two months. I have had so many people tell me that Aidan looks like Kenton so I thought I would post a picture of him at the same age as Aidan. See what you think... Kenton 2 months

Shots

Aidan went to see Dr. Bean today for his two month check-up. It is hard to believe he is two months old already. He weighed 12 pounds. So he has gained exactly 5 pounds since birth. He was 22 1/2 inches long. As you can see in the picture he did get three shots. Overall he did pretty well. He was just exhausted and wanted mommy to hold him while he took a nap. Tonight his right leg was hard and swollen so I put ice on it. It seems to be a little bit better now.

Knoxville Zoo

We had beautiful 70 degree weather Tuesday so we decided to go to the zoo when Madison got out of school. Madison ran from animal to animal while Aidan slept in his stroller and didn't see any animals at all. I guess he will see them next time.

Ready for the zoo...

Thumb and Smiles

Aidan has started sucking on his thumb and index finger a little bit. At night I cover them to keep his hands warm and when I get him up in the morning this is how I find his little hands. He wiggles his thumbs out so that he can get to them. It is so cute.
All smiles in the morning. Waving his thumb at me to say, "Hey Mommy look what I did".
I love this happy little boy!

Hold me please...

This is how I was able to put away the dishes. Madison held Aidan and played with him in the kitchen. This is how I was able to fix dinner.
Aidan finally decided to ride on mommy like a kangaroo. He decided it made for a nice nap.

Pajama Day at School

Madison had pajama day at school last Friday. She has waited all year for this day. She loves wearing her gowns and couldn't wait to go to school. Her teacher even told them they could wear slippers. I am assuming she meant house slippers. However, Madison took it to a new level and wore her Ruby red slippers. I couldn't convince her otherwise. I guess a princess always wears her heels. HA!
