Madison going on 16

Madison's new thing is to go to her room, shut the door, and turn up her music. I walked in today and she had her hat on, singing in her microphone and dancing. She was jamming to Grease. She may be 4 but she is going on 16!

Below I have added pictures of Aidan and Madison. The ones of Madison are from around the same age as Aidan now. Please let me know if you think they look alike....

Aunt Heather can you believe your little man Hudson wore this outfit???? Amazing how fast they grow. This little outfit was Hudson's from our friend Leslie and now Aidan is wearing it.

Breanna liked holding Aidan. She and Madison decided that Breanna needs a baby at her house too. That way they can bug two babies instead of one.

Bath Time!

Mornings at our house...

Madison loves for Aidan to lay in the bed with her as she watches cartoons in the morning. He adores Madison and watches her every move. It is really sweet.

Aidan's daily naps

I finally had the chance to post some pictures today thanks to my parents coming to visit. As you can see my mom is holding Aidan while he naps. He is a little spoiled already and will only nap during the day if he is being held. My mom was sure that he would lay down and sleep and as soon as she put him down he woke up. She picked him back up and he was asleep within minutes. So thanks to my parents I was able to catch up on some things today. Tomorrow it is back to the recliner holding this sweet baby all day but I am not complaining one bit...

Movies

We went as a family to see the movie Enchanted. It was a princess movie. Aidan went with us because he normally naps during this time so I figured that it wouldn't hurt for him to go and sleep. Well he tricked me. He ended up being awake the entire movie. He ate two different times, had three dirty diapers (that I managed to change in my lap in the dark), and watched the movie with the biggest eyes. I think he loved seeing all the colors on such a big screen. It is funny because we didn't take Madison to the movies until she was three. Aidan is only five weeks and he has been to the movies. I guess it is true that you do things earlier with the second child. Life marches on even with a new baby....

Friends

Aidan Michael and Emma Grace finally got to meet this week. As you can see they are so excited... They were friends way before they were even born.Emma Grace opened her eyes to see what was laying on her.
The Crew...

These are the two that we have to watch... They could easily be partners in crime.

We went to Gatlinburg last weekend with my family. Jason took Madison skiing. They had fun and she got to play in the snow with cousin Natalie and Katie.

Welcome 2008!

As I welcome in 2008 I can't help but reflect on 2007. It was a year of trials, questions, faithfulness, and love. In the past month my heart has been overwhelmed with thanks for God's faithfulness through every thing we have been through this past year. I just look at Aidan and think of how God was faithful in giving us such a precious gift that we would have never known had we not walked the journey with God this year and relied on him. It takes my breath away to look at him and realize how special he is and how I would have never had him if I had not gone through the trials and trusted in God's perfect plan and perfect timing. I say this to remind myself and each of you of God's love. Even at my saddest most confused moment I knew in my heart that God was there and would prove to be who he says he is... Little did I know at the time of the little blessing he would give me in December. This year my faith has grown and over and over God has reaffirmed what I already knew. He is sovereign. I am so blessed in many ways, especially my two children. I can't wait to see what great things God has in store for 2008!

Aidan 4 weeks old!

Aidan was 4 weeks old on Jan 1, 2008. He weighs 9 lbs. 2 ozs. He is growing and changing everyday. He is a great baby. I hate to write this but I am so excited that I can't resist... Aidan has slept through the night the past three nights. I put him down between 11 and 12 and he gets up sometime right after 6. This has been wonderful. I feel like a different person. I have not had a full nights sleep in months. Madison didn't sleep through the night until 6-7 weeks so this has been a nice treat. Let's just hope the trend continues.

Baby Aidan's First Christmas

Having a newborn at Christmas made me see Christmas in a new way this year. It was breath taking to look at my sweet little boy and try to put myself in Mary's shoes and how she must have felt the same love for her baby boy as I do for mine. I spent a lot of time at Christmas looking at Aidan and thinking about Jesus and what he must have been like as an infant.
