We had so much fun at the first annual Butterflies and Bowties event to raise money and awareness for Pediatric Cancer. The event was in memory of Maddie Harrill and Emily Barger. Both little girls lost their lives to cancer in the summer of 2008. The event was held at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. The night consisted of dancing and meeting many favorite princesses for the little girls. It was like a mini prom for the kids. The adults had a sit down meal with a short program.
As most of you already know Madison and Maddie were friends from Preschool and we have become very good friends with her parents. This is very near and dear to my heart and we are glad that in a bittersweet way we can help these families help other children.
